QuestionI have a 14 year old male dauschund who is very attached to me. He has some incontinent issue with urination. I recently moved into a brand new house with my boyfriend who will not allow him to be in the bedroom at night with us either, loose or in a small crate. I put him in his daytime crate in the laundry room and he will not stop barking. I know he is scared and lonely and is use to being near me, which my boyfriend doesn't understand. I have resorted to sleeping on the couch with the dog, because I need my rest and cannot listen to him bark and cry all night. Please help. What else can I do.
AnswerIn theory, your boyfriend should understand the relationship you and the dog have had and accept that as part of who you are.
I would suggest bringing the crate into the room and the barking should stop.
Problem solved.
Good Luck!
