breaking a bad habit

KAI have a German Shepherd puppy. 8 weeks old. She is always chewing on her leash. What is the best way to break this awful habit?

Hi Sharon:

Spraying the leash with a product such as "Bitter Apple" will make it takes horrible and therefore stop the habit.

Some breeds more so Golden and labs, like to carry something in their mouths.  So providing a toy to hold on walks will stop leash chewing also.  Make sure the toy is not something that will roll away, as then the dog will run to chase it should they drop it.  A rope toy, retrieval dummy or good items for this.
