new adoption

I just brought home a 8 month old female Boxer. She has not eaten or gone to bathroom in 24 hours. She also shakes terribly. I put her in a crate the first night and she seemed to be fine. But, it appears that she did not sleep. She would be standing next to me and her eyes would close and she would almost fall over. I bumped her crate that she was next to and she went into a panic and shaking badly. How can  help this poor girl.

Have you taken her to see your veterinarian for a well dog check up? That is an important part of any new dog routine. You want to rule out any health concerns.

If she is healthy, your dog may be poorly socialized and dealing with some fear issues. You probably are best served by contacting a local training specialist that has experience working with newly adopted and fearful animals.
