Question
Hi, i have a 3 year old labrador who has recently gone back to urinating on the kitchen floor. He only does it at night he is fine through the day, any suggegtions how to get him out of it?

Answer
Have you had him checked by the vet to be sure there is no medical reason, such as a bladder infection?

Is he neutered?  Is he awake when this happens?  The reason I ask is that females and males who have been altered can sometimes develop incontinence when they sleep, sort of like bed-wetting in a human.  In a case like this, once the dog begins hormone replacement, the problem goes away.

If none of these apply, then you may wish to re-institute housebreaking routines again; conditioning him to sleep in a dog crate may help.
