How To Train Newly Adopt Mixed Breed

19 14:06:08

Question
I have a mixed breed of pomeranian which i adopted 3 days ago. On the first she came to my house she's vy active and jump here and there or even stand up with his hand closed together. But then the other day she seems like not active and even hardly barks. Moreover when i call her she seems like don't even care about me. Only when she needs a walk, food or toileting, she'll stand when i ask her to. I really need some advice on training her to be active but in another way obedient to me. How should i do that?

Answer
The inactivity may be more physical than training.  See the vet for a check up. How old is it?  Take any medical records you have and let the vet figure out what it needs.

Obedience train it.  Just because a dog is small, doesn't mean it doesn't need obedience training.  Unfortunately even some obedience trainers fail to take small dogs seriously.  Avoid them, go elsewhere.  The dogs see all the
people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in
the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members
outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by
reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class
or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with
a treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/

Thank you for adopting it.  All the people I know that know and love dogs, are very concerned about all the dogs needing a good home.  Please come back if you need more help.
