I have a female pom that was given to me I've had her now for 9 months and she has not come in heat to my knowledge I was told she is about 2 years old and I was wondering if there is any medicine you can give a dog to make her come into heat? I was told there was but I have never been given the name of the medicine.

Hi Susan,  Are you sure she is not spayed?  I would double check her belly (since she is 2 years old) for a spay mark.  It is right at her belly button or a little below it.  There is no medicine I know of that can bring a dog into heat, and it is very rare for a dog at 2 years of age to not come into heat for over 9 months.  You can also take her into the vet and have a blood test run to check her hormone levels.  Hope this helps,
