Question
My dog, Kizzy, is about 16 years old and has been not acting herself today. She's got bad arthritis in her hips and has been moving around today like she's having a seizure. And then defecated on the living room floor. My question is if there is anything wrong with her, and might it be her time?

Answer
Hi Consuela;
Sure there is something wrong with her.
She is 16 years old and has Arthritis.
Arthritis is VERY painful, and it stiffens up your joints so you can't move right, it can affect the nerves and muscles so that they lose control, or she may have god on the floor because she has no control, much, and simply could not move her joints and walk fast enough to get outside.
16 for a dog is old age. For some dogs, that is like a human being 120 years old, for other breeds it is like a human being 75 or 80, but it ius old, and arthritis is so crippling and causes so much pain.
If she is in so much pain, maybe you should consider letting her go.
Take her to her Veterinarian and see what they advise.
Accupuncture and Arthritis meds, and animal massage I did for mine help them get through a lot better, with less pain and p[roblems, and helps them live a longer ife, with less pain. When they are in pain that cannot berelieved, I don't make them suffer just so I don't have to cry. I let them go.
My Veterinarian gives them a shot, and I hold them and talk to them until they are gone.
It isn't easy, but it is the least I can do for all they have been to me.
