rescue dog aggression

Question
We got our dog, Abbey, from a rescue organization when she was about 3 months old.  She's a 6 year old german shepherd/lab/greyhound.  She has always shown aggression and fear towards strangers and dogs, except for our other dog.  She's okay with women, but not men.  If men she doesn't know come into our house and they sit down, she's friendly to them, but when they stand up, she lunges at them.  We tried to socialize her when she was a puppy, but she wouldn't go near anybody, she'd just hide, and we didn't want to force her.  When she sees other dogs, she tries to attack them.  How can we train her not to do these things?

Answer
Well, have a man she knows really well stand in front of her, when she stops acting crazy, praise her,do this over and over untill she stops doing it

Now as for dog aggression, thats alot tougher, what you can try is,go to a friend's house with a dog(not the other way around)and have them play in the yard with your dog muzzled,do this until she no longer wants to fight with the other dog then take the muzzle off,but put a leash on her, just in case

However sometimes this can't be trained out,the best thing would be to keep yours on a leash at all times, and if you see another dog off leash warn them that your dog doesn't like dogs and to have there dog leashed
