dog sleeping in closet

Question
I want to know why my dog is doing this, she's pretty old, blind and deaf and at first i thought that she needed to be near or on something that had my scent. So I put an old t-shirt of mine on her bed, and she sleeps there most nights, but when i come home from school or work, and i find that she's not in my room i find her in my closet. any idea why she does this?

Answer
Hello Juanita, It seems she's looking for a more confined area.  She might see your closet as a larger dog bed.  When dogs get older and their hearing is less and also their sight, being in a more confined area is seems safer. They know where sounds are coming from (in front of them, instead of from any which direction) Have patience and just go along with what ever makes her happy.  Thanks for asking, Cindy Lou :)
