my puppys paws

i adopted my puppy yesterday and before i took her they trimmed her nails
and they made them bleed really bad and they continued to bleed even after the applied the stuff to stop the bleeding so i had purchased dog paw covers the kind with elastic straps so she would not keep licking the bleed stop off her paws she wore them over night an when i took the off her paws are enlarged my question is did i hurt or damage my puppys paws and will the swelling go down and how long any help would be very appreciated because im very upset with myself

i am so mad they did that...did you get her from a petshop? Sounds like it, pet stores are idiots the probaly didnt know that teh dogs claws had viens in them. Yes this hurt the poor puppy it bleed it hurt it is wjhat I would think equle to getting the skin on your finger tips cut off while cutting your nails...just the very tip like 1/2 inch...thats what I always say. The dog does Yelp when the 'quick' within the naisl are cut and the dog wont like anyone cutting its nails ever again, My Jack russell terrier has his Dew clwas removed when he was first boren likely a few days after as thats said whnehn its done along with tail docking...He needs muzzling and almost three people to hold him to ucut his nails, I have NEVER cut him but he hates anyone touching his feet i belive it was the pain caused from removing his dew claws that made him foot shy. Do your best to keep the blood stopped patiularly if its a really small bree dpuppy lie a chihuahua or pug sized puppy. Get into teh vet and have them checked if they are really this bad and tell them yuod like some anitobitic onminet for the claws while they heal.  Next time cut the claws yourself also, petstores never ask they ussally walk into the back room and do it and come back out without even Asking...I'd be shocked if you say its a breeder or shelter that did this. When they srart bleeding you can also dip the toe into a small platter of White flour this is much cheaper and really works the same. Please let me know how everything goes.
