black lab with intermitten stomach upset

I have a 14 month old black lab who in the past month has been waking up at about 5:30am a few times a week to vomit.  She is only vomiting liquid...no food, and she doesn't eat until about 8-8:30am, and then again at 8:30pm.  She seems fine otherwise and she has zero problem eating.  Any thoughts?

Hi Jennifer,

I've had similar problems with my own dogs.

Try giving your dog a small late night snack; maybe a milkbone, or a small handful of his dog food just before you go to bed. This seems to settle the stomach, preventing stomach acid from building up.

You can ask your vet about giving your dog half a tablet of Pepcid AC (NOT Pepcid Complete) each morning and half a tablet each night.
