Our pit bull just had puppies last night, she is still not producing any milk. we are hand feeding them for now, but we want to know what we can do to make her produce her own milk.

Answer
Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours.  They don't produce milk within the first day or so anyway - it's colostrum which is very important for the puppies health so let them nurse on her as much as possible.  The kneading they do while nursing will also stimulate milk production so make sure the puppies are with her.  If you know she's definitely not producing milk by tomorrow then you may end up just having to hand feed them, but definitely give her a chance first.
