Choosing a house dog

Hi,I'm from Malaysia(Kuala Lumpur). I'm moving to a new house with my housemate. We are going to stay in a double story house but not big one. I love to have a dog.
With our kind of weather, what kind of dog is the best? I'm actually looking for a dog can easyly taken care and he can be a guard while we are not in (working). Thanks

Well Lasha Apsos would be a good choice,they are small enough to live in a small place,and they are also good watch dogs

now I don't know what size of dog you are looking for,but German shepherd are also a good choice if you are looking for something bigger,as are Dobermans and rottweilers
