dos and play mates

i was just wondering if it is better for dogs to have a play mate or not.we have a blcklab husky mix who is fixed she is very active we play with her alot but i find that she loves to play with other dogs, i was wondering if you would recommend we get her a play mate because some times we just dont have the time to play with her as much as she would like. we walk her regular also.

Hello and thanks for writing. That decision has to be yours, however i can tell you this. Your dog thinks of YOU as her pack. She could care less if you bring another dog to the house, in fact she may not like it and start having issues with it. She should enjoy playing with other dogs away from the house, or ones that dont live there. If you choose to get another dog, be prepared since no one can predict what will happen. thanks and good luck
