Question
QUESTION: I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A PUGGLE THAT IS 4 MONTHS OLD.  THIS DOG IS AT A REDUCED RATE DUE TO ITS AGE.  IT STILL LIVES IN A KENNEL AND IS NOT HOUSE BROKEN.  WILL I HAVE DIFFICULTY TRAINING A DOG THIS OLD?  (HE WILL HAVE TO BE SHIPPED TO MY HOUSE SO THE REDUCED PRICE IS HELPFUL.) THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
ANSWER: Hi Tammy;
I have taught dogs several years old to go potty outside, as they had never lived in a house, and had always gone outdoors.
All you have to do is show the dog, in a way he understands, what it is you want of him/her.
Do you have experience training any dogs at all, at any age?
If you don't know how to go about teaching him to go outdoors or on a puppy pad, write me, and I will write out some direwctions for you.
I have never heard of a kennel reducing the rate because the dog is a few months old.
I would be more concerned that they are trying to pass off a dog that has some defects or health problems, that made it impossible to see it.
How reputible is the kennel you are buying it from?
Is this a legitimate breeder, or a backyard breeder?

QUESTION: I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING PUGGLES ON PUPPYFIND.COM.  AS I LOOKED, IT SEEMED LIKE THE OLDER THE PUPPIES WERE THE LESS EXPENSIVE THEY WERE.  PUPPIES THAT WERE 8 WEEKS/AND UP WERE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.  I LOOKED TO SEE IF IT WAS A KENNEL OR INDIVIDUALS SELLING THE PUPPIES.  I E-MAILED THE WOMAN ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR DOG.  SHE SEEMED NICE ENOUGH BUT I HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING.  DO YOU RECOMMEND PARTICULAR WEBSITES ETC... THAT ARE LEGITIMATE?  HOW CAN I BE SURE OF WHOM I AM DEALING WITH?  THANK YOU.

Answer
Hi Tammy'
A Puggle isa basically an mixed breed dog, mixed deliberately, because people are suddenly deciding they want "Designerr Dogs".
these are the dog that we who work with the rescue groups strive to save and find good homes for.
People get these dogs, and find out there are a lot of health problems and it gets very expensive, so they take them to the city pound, the humane society or a rescue g4roup, or they just abandon them by letting them out in a strange area, hoping someone will give them a home.
These breeders are what you can "Puppy Mills?
They are terrible palaces, some ara lot qworse than others, but none of them are responsible breeders
If you want a mixed breed, go to the rescue groups, they have a lot of them, all ages, and almost any kind you want, even purebreeds, and it will obnly cost you the cost of the animals shots and spaying or neutering.
We get a dog, and we foster it in our homes, with our family and our pets, and we evaluate the dog and what it needs in the way of training, or how much training it has had, health problems that are obvious to our veterinarian, and any they feel needs to be tested for.
It is not to late to train any dog.
I have trained and housebroken dogs that were 6 or more years old, and had never lived in a house, or been taught anything.
Maye a puppy mill is too strong. A backyard breeder is more like it. The only diffesernce is, the dogs get some petting, and are not starved, but they are not bred responsibility, and they will say it has a certian cross, but it could have any other bloodline in there too.
NOT reasonsible breeders at all.
The more of these dogsa that are bought, the more these people will breed.
You don't savbe a dog from mistreatment, you just make room for another one.
