Not sure if my puppy is in heat

I have a 6 month old pitbull, I seen some bloody mucus looking fluid, 1 day and then again some the next day, have not seen any other bleeding, her tipples are protruding a little bit, but still not sure if this was just a false alarm or if she in really in heat Shouldn't there be more blood.

It sounds like she is in season, although I don't know why you would be seeing mucous. Some bitches bleed more than others, and some keep themselves very clean. Take a white tissue and apply it to her vulva, and you should have your answer. If you are still not sure, your veterinarian can make that determination; I suppose she could be having a case of vaginitis and you missed that until you noticed the bleeding. That might explain the mucous.
