Question
I have a 10 month old husky-German shephard mix and a 10 month old pitt bull.  They fight constantly!  I know they're just playing, but it's getting really old.  Is this normal to fight ALL DAY?  It's been happening for about 4 months at least and they haven't let up at all.  How can I stop them from destroying my house or each other?

Answer
I guess the longest any of our guests stayed was 2 weeks.  They never stopped the whole time.  They quickly learn what the other can take, so they do fine.  Usually when I see blood, it means somebody lost a puppy tooth.  Now, about your house.  We use a gate to restrict the hooligans to one room.  It has mostly simple, sturdy furniture.  The one low window recently was broken.  You can call a time out when it gets too intense.  It also works much better since we fenced part of the yard.  That way, they destroy the grass.  You could also try 2 on a tether.  The trick is to use one long chain, and a short branch near the end for the second dog.  Don't give them enough to get tangled, and keep an eye on things.
