Shiba inus

I am interested in getting a Shiba Inu from a breeder,but one of my friends is trying to talk me out of it,and she is telling me they are nasty and are unfriendly

Now I know they are idependent and can be animal aggressive,I live on my own with a cat-but I am getting a puppy so they should be ok

My question is this,is my friend right? Should I be getting a different breed? I have wanted a shiba for many,many years and am I making a mistake in getting one?

As a Shiba Inu owner-your friend is wrong,my Shiba is the best dog I have ever had and she is not nasty towards people at all,she just doesn't like birds in the yard

And it is good to get one as a puppy if you have a cat,as you have said they can be animal aggressive

I saw get the puppy and ignore your friend-Shiba are great dogs and are a joy to own
