Question
QUESTION: I have a six month old Siberian husky i have him in a pen, so he dose not wreck my back garden. the thing is every time myself or any one go's out the back he just cry's and trows a little tantrum how do i teach him to stop doing this

ANSWER: Phil, he cries and throws a tantrum because he's locked in a pen. Dogs, northern breeds especially, are pack animals. They should not be kept alone in a pen or backyard. Is there some reason you cannot bring him in the house to be part of your family?

QUESTION: yes we also have two kittens as well and my girlfriend thinks he might go for them even though they get on grand when we are there and she would'nt let him stay in the house inanyway

Answer
My question is this: why did you get the dog in the first place? I do not mean this to be rude, but I would recommend that you either get him a companion, so that he's not all alone in the back yard, consider re-homing him to a family that will include him more, or try to work out a compromise with your girlfriend so that maybe you can bring him in for a little while each day while you're home. You can put him back out in the pen when you are not there, if you're worried about the kitties. I have 2 cats, myself, and I have to keep them put away when my two shepherds are loose in the house because the shepherds think that kitties are wonderful things to play with. Hee hee!

You didn't say whether or not you ever play with him, take him for walks, or do any training with him. Do you? How often?
