Question
I have a 9 month old German Shepherd who has sever allergies. He has
missing hair patches on his sides and I have been fighting this since he was
young. I have been to numerous vets and have tried anything you can think
of. My vet can't believe he has giving him 4 cortisone shots before he has
turned 1 yr and he has switched him to cortisone tabs (2 every other day). I
have tried numerous shampoos and food. I breaks my heart to see him so
miserable and he has been that way his whole life. Can you help? I have made
an appt for a dog dermatologist but I know I am going to have to pay so
much to go so I thought maybe you can me me some ideas.

Answer
I use 'Reactine' on both of my dogs and it seems to work pretty well-you would have to call your vet for dosage as it goes by weight,Alegra and Claratine are also the same thing

Also sometimes it's the food-food with a lot of corn in it can cause allergies,so if there's any corn at all in the food, try switching his food as well
