Answer
I am sorry, but you must have seen somebody else's list.  I don't have a list of top dog chows and question the validity of the criterion most others use for their list. In the real world, I know, if fact I have seen thousands of them, there are healthy dogs leading long, active lives that are eating common brands such as Pro Plan, Iams, Purina 1, etc. that are full of ''bad'' ingredients.  If dogs thrive on chows with ''bad'' ingredients, could it be the definition of ''bad ingredients'' is itself bad?

Frankly I see more problems here and elsewhere with dogs that are eating the premium brands than the common ones.  That could be from skewed data.

If you trust Innova, and your Pug seems to be doing OK on it, go ahead with it.  Actually the less switching around you do and fewer sources of protein you expose a dog to when young, the easier it is to work around it if it ever develops allergies.

Note, we may have lost some experts here lately.
