doxie coats

Have you a knowledge of how people with allergies react around doxies.  I notice with short hair there seems to be more dander; I am wondering about long haired.  Thanks for your help in advance.

No I'm sorry, my expertise is more with animals less with people. I can tell you what I do know though. Most people with allergies do better with a non shedding breed, such as schnauzer, poodle, scottish terrier etc. I have two children who are allergic to dogs. Neither of them react to the non shedding breeds. Doxies are not non shedding. In fact for a short haired breed they shed rather heavily.
