Pregnant Toy Rat Terrier

Question
I have a 2yr old female toy rat terrier and she is about 3 weeks pregnant. Do you know how long her pregnancy will be? Also, the male dog is a regular sized rat terrier... will that affect her or her puppies in any way? THANKS!!

There is always a risk when a dog is pregnant.  When the male is larger the risk increases in domestic animals.  She should have her puppies in 60 to 63 days.  At 59 days her temperature should start to decrease.  When she is down to 98 or 99 she should have them within 24 hours or go to the vet.  She will also start "nesting" which means she will search for a place to have them.   A small children's pool is the best whelping box around.  good luck
