Question
I have a Siberian husky. she's almost a yr old now. she ate/ drank cooking oil from the pot where i fried chicken. I don't know how much she had. and since then, she's vomitting and her stool were soft almost watery. what do i need to do?

Answer
Hi Hazel,

I'm sorry to hear of your dog's dietary indiscretion.

You can give your dog Pepto-Bismol, it's good for for stomach upset and/or diarrhea. The typical dose administered to dogs is 2 teaspoons (10 ml total) per 10-pounds per day, ideally split between two to four doses.

If you don't have Pepto-Bismol, you could give your dog Kaopectate, the dose is 1 tablespoon for each 20lbs of dog every 12 hours.

If things do not improve by tomorrow, I'd recommend calling your vet.

Best of luck,
Patti
