dog nose

My  13 yr old  terrier mix  ,  has discharge from   nose . Took her  to  vet  and   got  some  antibiotics  , I  forgot  to  ask  the  vet  if  there  is  some  cream  or  something   it  drys  the  nostal  .  thanks

Hi Dave,

You can dab a small bit of Vaseline onto your dog's nose if it's dry. It won't hurt your dog if she licks it off.

You should contact your vet and let him or her know that the medication is drying your dog's nose, as there might be a different medication you could use that would not have the same side effect.
