what age does a mini snouter male get neutered?  what age is 18 wks?  how big is 18 wks old?

I like my male puppies to be neutered later than sooner, like around 10-11 months, as long as they are behaving and not having behavioral problems for their owners, such as marking, etc. The reason for this is that when a puppy is neutered earlier, particularly those very early ones, the penis remains infantile, and since schnauzers are prone to bladder stones, it would be impossible to catheterize a smaller penis if the dog ended up with stones at some point in its life.

Eighteen weeks is one of those bizarre puppy ages where it really isn't four months old yet because the weeks don't match the puppy's birthdate. So what age is it? Eighteen weeks! LOL!

As to the size, that will depend on the genetics of the line of dogs it comes from. My dogs continue to grow for a long time, very slowly, while other lines pretty much have their full height by six months of age. The best person to answer size questions about your particular dog are its breeder, as he is familiar with his own dogs.
