I tried the pumpkin and cod liver oil on Akiva Raine and it certainly gave her the flush she needed. Lots of big healthy stools that day and since. Thanks again for the advice.
I have a new question about my newest rescue pup, Savannah Marie. Immediately upon accepting her, I had her fixed and got her rabies shot done. When she came home, I gave her the distemper shot. All my rescues have been taken in early in puppyhood, so I have done the regular series of shots as they should be administered. How do I go about a vaccine schedule with this dog? She is 6 months old and this is the first time she has ever had shots done.

Honestly, because you have all your other dogs and seem to have contact with a lot of rescue puppies, I would go ahead and go through her full puppy series, just like you would if she were 8 weeks old. You just can't be too careful with puppies and parvo/distemper. If she were in a single family/pet household I may say just give her a booster now and another in six months, but in your situation I would go ahead and do a three round series once every three weeks, and a booster at a year.
