Mixing Dogs

QUESTION: I have two loving rotties. The male is 3yrs and the female is 5yrs.
We are wanting to add to our family and did not know if getting a Great Dane pup is a bad idea? We both are home most of the time, but worried they might hurt the pup. The rotties are good natured dogs.

ANSWER: I think it would be ok to bring in a new puppy,just for a while seperate them when you are not home-I think they will get along all right,since both your dogs are ok with other dogs

QUESTION: Thank you for answering my first question. I have one more. Do you think that Great Dane are at greater risk of bad heath compared to a rottie.

They have about the same type of health problems as rotties,they are prone to bloat as well as bone cancer,also they can get stressed easily and can cause them to die-but again sone danes live as long as 14,but like rotties unfortunatly the average is around ten
