canine teeth

Question
My dog has three upper canine teeth on each side, a total of six upper. Is this normal? Does this tell you what kind of dog she is?

Answer
No, that is not normal for any dog. Even if it had retained its puppy canines, it would still only have two on each side... and this would have most likely thrown all the teeth out of alignment.

Looking at a photo might give one an idea of what breed(s) make up a particular dog, and some claim that DNA can determine this, however, I don't know that DNA is *quite* there yet.
