Question
Can the moles on dogs be removed via local anesthetic like with humans?

Answer

Hi Pastor,

Depending on the location of the moles and their size, they may be able to be removed under local anesthesia. Many times when a growth is benign (non-cancerous) a growth is simply monitored for changes, and not removed unless it's located in an area where it causes discomfort or mobility problems.

Your first step would be to have your dog examined so you know what kind of growths your dog has.

Best of luck,

Patti
