How many placentas should a dog be able to eat without getting sick?

In my personal experience, they get sick on anywhere from 1-5, they have always thrown up after eating the placentas,, I have bred the following breeds over the last 40 years, schnauzers, goldens, westies, German shepherds and smooth fox terriers. The only one that did not get sick was the German Shepherd. She had eaten two by the time I woke up. I didn't let her eat any more, because I didn't want to be cleaning up the vomit. I never let any of my bitches eat the placentas anymore..
