make 2 doggies get along

we just rescued a little dog and my 3 year old german shepard doesnt like her.  she gets really mad when she sees her so we have t keep them seperated. so how can i make them get along??????????

Probably the best way would be to muzzle your german shepherd,and let her sniff ect the little dog,so she can see it isn't a threat,but can do so without hurting the other dog-this works as it gets the dogs used to each other,and able to sort out there differences without hurting each other
