Hi Karen, i have i siberian huskie girl pup. she is 7 months old. i think she is going to go in season but im not sure.... she wont eat much and she usualy is a very hyporactive dog but today she s just lying down and is not bothered with enyone ... could she be due for her season???

Anytime after five months of age one can expect a puppy bitch to come in season, with 6-8 months being the most common time (although some can come in even later). Turn your bitch over and take a look at her nipples. If you see any development at all, she is coming in. Watch for swelling of her vulva and bleeding. Now would be a good time to spay her.

As to her behavior today, it could be anything. Maybe she is just tired or having an "off" day as we all do occasionally. Get her leash and go for a walk and see if that doesn't perk her up.
