Question
my puppy is 8 week and we would like to know what shots she will need for her first visit. i hear she only gets one but it will cost 65$. should she be getting more for the first round or only one?

Answer
This is a question for your veterinarian as some vaccines can vaccinate for a handful of things, and others can have a few more things added (all in the one inoculation). It really depends on what you and your vet decide to inoculate for. Your puppy should have 3-4 inoculations every four weeks, starting at 8-9 weeks, a booster one year later, and then another booster every three years after that.

I only inoculate my puppies against distemper, infectious hepatitis, Adenovirus 2, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. I do not give them inoculations against leptospirosis, lyme, giardia, coronavirus, or bordatella. Mine have rabies vaccinations at around 8 months.
