Behavior?

Question
Hi there, I have a almost 6 month old Bichon Havanese male dog.  He's getting neutered in a week.  We live in an apartment so we started training him on pads, we've had him for 2 months now.  He was doing really well for a bit but now he pee's everywhere but still uses the pads for BM.  He did pee on his pad today but that's all in the last couple weeks.  We do have a rabbit that runs around too.  Is this a behavior thing because we work all day and he's in a crate and we go shopping after he eats for a bit? or is it a territorial thing?  How can we fix the problem?

Answer
Neutering may help.  The rabbit could be a problem.  Even after being neutered, he may thing he needs to mark every place the rabbit goes.

When you are around you need to keep a close eye on the dog. Use closed doors or gates to keep it in the same room as you are, and perhaps as I do, a short chain fastened to the computer desk. If you catch it in the act, give it a sharp ''Ah, ah, ah!'' and take it out. When you can't watch it, crate it.
