elderly chocolate lab

Question
I inherited my brother's 12 year old chocolate lab in October 2009 when my brother passed away here at my house.  Archie - or Archmonster, as we call him has developed a barking habit.  I don't know how to make him stop.  He barks at nothing and won't stop.  He barks all hours of the day and night.  Can you help me?

Hello Margaret;
When a older dog is moved into a new environment, it is truly traumatic!
Especially since he is probably really having separation anxiety for the loss of your brother...
So, I would consider getting him into a activity routine, and also introducing maybe to some other dogs along the way, if you can have another, that would be great...also, take him to a class to get some help to get other pointers!
