Question
Hi there, I have a 15 months old pomeranian, I bought her last march, she had her dhppc vaccine, and her rabies a month b4 i bought her, which is last feb, so I was just wondering, should she be taking the dhppc vaccine this year again? and the rabies as well? or just the dhppc? i've called different vets, and they all gave me different answers, some told me that I should only give my dog the dhppc this year, and the rabies next year, and other told me that I will only need the rabies vaccine this year, and skip on the dhppc, but other told me that i will have to take both this year and then every 3 years for the rabies after this, im so confused right now, hope you can answer my question! please and thanks.

The only way to know with the Rabies vaccine is to find out what type of vaccine she was originally given. Some are good from 1-3 years, that is why you are getting these answers, but, they should have told you that to see the information on your Rabies certificate!
The vaccine you will use to keep your dog from getting regular diseases, such as Corona, kennel cough, parvo, and more...should be given once a year to boost the dog...unless you do what is called a Tieter test to check to see if the immune levels are high enough without boosting them with another vaccine.
This is done by a knowledgeable vet!
Find one that will know these two protocols, otherwise keep looking!
