skin problems

My shiz shu is 13 yrs old. He is in pretty good health. He has little pimple like bumps on his back. They bust and has a really bad odder to them. Is there any home products I can use to help his skin and the smell? Thank you Rhonda

You can try Gold Bond medicated powder or Ammens medicated powder.  Or cortisone cream that is ok for ingestion, but I really think this is past that and he needs an antibiotic.  If you try the powders and don't see an immediate result, then go the vet.  These infections could be more serious for an older dog,
