Answer
Greetings, and thank you for contacting All Experts!
From your description it sounds like your Chihuahua is suffering from seizures. What may be causing such episodes is unclear. Being a small breed dog, small dog hypoglycemia can be a possibility, you can read more about this here:

It helps to keep some corn syrup or pancake syrup on hand to rub the gums with for future occurrences. Feeding small meals on a frequent basis may be helpful and so is being sure your Chihuahua stays warm. This website addresses seizures and its potential causes and is very helpful:

I would record one of the episodes on tape and have your vet look at it so to properly diagnose your dog. If these episodes continue, your vet can prescribe medications to prevent or at least reduce the frequency of such episodes. I would also have him seen for the not eating much as well, since this may likely be a culprit. Iams sells a savory sauce that can be poured on your dog's food to entice him to eat. Adding a few drops of warm water or broth on the food may also make it more inviting. If he is still not eating much, go to a well stocked pet store and ask for some ''nutrical''

Try to collect a fresh stool sample so your vet can also test for parasites. Puppies are notorious for having parasites.  Consider that seizures can be potentially debilitating and can have devastating effects when they happen on a frequent basis or for more than a few minutes.  Here is a guide:

Consider also that Chihuahuas are genetically predisposed to getting seizures. I hope this has helped, my very best wishes!
