Question
when getting papers is better too get pedagree on not.  what is pedagree on your papers thank you

Answer
Joey -

"Papers" usually refers to the dog being registered.  That means that both of their parents were registered too.  The point to registration to to guarantee that the dog is purebred.

There are different groups that register dogs, but the only reputable one in the United States is the AKC (American Kennel Club). Most of the other organizations that register dogs recognize mixed breeds (like cockapoos or pugles), or don't require proof that the parents were purebred.

The pedigree is a different document. It shows who the parents, grandparents, etc of your dog are.  Pedigrees are used to determine what to expect from your puppy and to decide the best breeding combinations based on the dog's bloodlines.

The pedigree is completely useless if you have a pet. Pet dogs should generally not be used for breeding except by experienced people because the dogs are not of ideal quality, and it takes a lot of knowledge to properly breed dogs.

I sure hope I answered your questions !
