Question
My poodle skin is very dark...You can see it under his belly and when I give him a bath the skin just seems dark. I know he has worms and have been deworming him. Any idea what might have caused the change in his skin color...I could have sworn his kin was a lot lighter pick even...Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hello Nicole,
Sometimes medicines can cause the skin to change color, but other things can affect the skin color also.  Being out and exposed to the sun can darken the skin, dyes in some dog foods will also cause the skin to change color, and some dogs will develop spots on their skin like freckles that are darker than the skins normal color.
It won't hurt the hair color.  It will continue to grow in in the same color that your dog is.

I hope this helps you some.  If you have other questions for me, please feel free to ask.
