QuestionI have a 18wk old AmStaff and a blk Lab 12 months I was told to feed them Purina One Adult Lamb and Rice. That it would be okay for them both. My question is wouldn't they both still be considered puppies? My vet states that the Purina brand would be okay for them, but I have been given the recommendation of Innova Evo and Blue Wilderness from other AmStaff owners to feed them, due to the fact that Purina is not healthy for them. What would you recommend for both of my dogs? Some ppl tell me that my vet could be getting paid by Purina to promote the food.
AnswerHi Missy- Many vets do not have much training in Pet Nutrition... They just don't know much about foods... They get almost NO education on pet's diet choices and feeding...
I would continue with the Innova EVO and the Blue Wilderness. Excellent choices for your two dogs.
I don't like to give puppy food to a dog that is over 9 months old...( unless they are underweight)
Continue with what your are using. YOU CAN"T do much better.....
