QuestionI have two pitts. A four year old papered male we possibly may breed
someday. so we never nuetered him. we recently found a female pitt which
seems to be less than a year old. i made a appt. to get her nuetered next
week. last night my male started acting very strange. i noticed blood drops
around the house and realized she is in heat. i cant control my male, he
seems almost possesed. i bought a garmet recommended to control blood.
but this seems to be no deterent to my male. i dont think i can take a few
weeks of this. does anyone have advise for a very unprepared owner.
AnswerOh Boy! That's life... Sorry...
You can have her spayed now, even when she is in " heat"... Call the local vet and see if they can do it this week. Tell them the stressful situation your household is going thru.
It does cost a little bit more to spay a female that is in heat.
Sorry, can't think of anything else to tell you.
Have FUN!
