Hi Luis, Thanks for the question.
yes, it is best to have the baby with mom until 8 weeks old.  If the little one is doing well and is eating puppy food already, then the 6 weeks would be ok.  Sometimes moms don't want to feed the little ones after 6 weeks of age.  They have teeth that hurt mom!  Moms sometimes run away from the pups.

So the answer to your question depends on the pup and how it is thriving and growing.
