Question
Hi Maggie is 1 1/2 years old she started to limp about 2 months ago after comming back home from a day in the woods, it seems to be in her elbow. It only happens for about 1 min after she has been laying down for 1/2 hour or more. We rested her for 1 full month no running, no long walks, no playing. And then i took her to the woods for a day and it all started back again. If i flex her leg in every way posible it doesint bother her at all. What could it be, what about lime deasies, what are the sings of that? I took her to the vet, he told me that he have to take xrays of it. I have an appointment in 3 weeks.

thank you

Answer
It could be a number of things.  You can have poor joint development like hip dysplasia in other joints too.  And it does sound like the early reports from a friend whose dog did have Lyme disease.  He recovered, but does have some permanent kidney damage.  Could be something easily corrected like a bone chip. I guess just wait for the X-rays and work with your vet.
