Getting My Dog to Eat!

Question
OK, im 14 years old and me and my sister convinced my parents to get a black lab mix. When we got her, right off the bat she was a pretty good eater, not great but good, and ever since then her eating has gone down gradually. My sister started crumbling a small ammount of treats and putting it on the top of the food and it started working, but that TOO started to not work. Now she wont eat at all almost and it's aggrivating me! please answer my question, i really want to know how to get her to eat. I've already tried moistening her food with a bit of warm water. I was thinking of just seeing if she wanted to eat at the time we give her food and if she didn't, then to just not feed her at that meal. But my sister says that this is bad because she is a puppy and needs to eat probably. Please write back!! ANY help will be appreciated!

Answer
Hello Vinay and thank you for your question,

CFirst off congrats on your new puppy. All puppies are picky eaters, I am currently haev trubles getting my boston terrier female puppy to eat shes just oging on 4 montghs old. They have very small teeth that are far apart when they are young called milk teeth and they offen have trubels eating, also you negletcted to mention how old the puppy was? She might be teething(new teeth coming in and the little pointy puppy teeth falling out) this causes pain in the gums and my friends dog wouldnt' eat unless it was soaked when she was teething on the other hand my
Labrdor Reteriver ate fine during her teething period. If she is really finicky at this time you could try what I'm doing leave food down all teh time for her, Soke it and repalce it freshly daily. You could also offen some semi moist(rolled type) puppy food or some canned on top of the hard food.

I hope this answers your questions if you need help with any thing else feel free to ask and enjoy your puppy they don't stay small for long.
