Questionhi,
i run my 7.5 year old labrador twice a day in the park where he chases a tennis ball.
how do i know when he has had enough? seems if he had his way he would never stop.

AnswerThat's a good question. We have an 8 1/2 year old that never has enough. I usually give her 15 minutes to about 1/2 an hour or until she doesn't bring the ball back/lays down. Unfortunately there isn't a set time to give. I always figure if ours gets in 10-15 good runs after a ball, that's probably good enough.
You can always try to change the activity a bit by throwing in some training like heeling at your side and waiting until you release him to fetch the ball. That might give him a little mental activity as well!
They are never too old to throw in some "new" stuff to learn.
