Question
I have a 6 months old Male Lab, i want to what is the correct height and weight it suppose to be, please answer me

Answer
Hi Narayana,

There is no definite body height and weight that your Lab needs to be at six months. A reference chart below should give you some idea, however I must add this is not absolute and labs vary in height and weight. Genes are the primary reason, followed by food, exercise and living conditions.

Male Labs:

By 6 months:

Weight between 15kg and 25kg
Height between 12 in to 18 in when standing on all fours

Female Labs:

By 6 months:

Weight between 10 kg and 20 kg
Height between 12 in to 18 in standing on all fours

I must insist you DO NOT depend on this very vague table. Go to a vet with your lab's history and his parental history. Take snaps of his parents. Your vet will be able to tell you accurately if the Lab is underweight or Overweight. However at 6 months chances of being either is very small.

Send me some snaps of your dog - maybe i can help. My id is sam.lucifer@gmail.com

Good luck,
Sameer
