Question
"Interesting post.  I am not Mary, and not sure why you sent this to me.  I don't trust websites.  Too easy for a kook with an agenda to set up.  I would have to say that the examples are more extreme than anything I have seen.  Could be Photoshop."

I just think that if you are going to claim to be an "expert", you should know your stuff.  The first site I posted comes from a woman who has been in the breed (Labradors) for over 20 years.  The second site also comes from a woman, a genetic scientist, who has been in the breed for over 20 years.  Again with the third site I posted.

I used to answer questions here, in the Labrador retriever section, a year or so ago, but just didn't have the time to continue.  I do, however, look in periodically, and am seeing answers that just are not exactly true.  You say you don't trust websites.  Well, I don't trust them, or forums, either, but I do know better than to spout information without first knowing if it is true or not.  I care deeply about the breed and work diligently to stop the myths and misfortunes it suffers.
I just hope Mary reads this so she learns the truth about mismarked Labradors.  She may or may not have gotten "ripped off", but she should at least know that mismarks DO happen.

And, as to any of those photos being Photoshopped, I know that the women who maintain the first two sites DO confirm any photos they recieve before they post them.

Answer
I would be interested in just which of my answers you feel aren't true and your source of information.  Most of my answers are based on my own experience plus the training I have from the best around, a large dog guide school.  They have thousands of Labs in their program, a veterinarian staff, X-rays, an complete life histories.

I am skeptical, but did not say it was impossible.  Nobody know everything.  I have seen thousands of Labs not carefully bred to be unmarked and never any that extreme.  No doubt a few such exist, but they certainly are not common.
