Growth in my pup

Hi i have a 7 month old male chocolate lab. I want to know if he will attain the maximum height for a labrador. He is currently 23 inches at the shoulder.How many more inches will he grow? Should i give him adult chow? And he still hasn't got a blocky head like other labs. Why is it so? Will he take more time to mature? Please help.

Many Labs level of at 7 months.  I doubt he will be more than 24''-25'' at the shoulder at maturity.  Yes, switch to adult chow now.  That and keeping him lean is the best thing for his joints you can do now.  Evaluate the dog as illustrated in this link, http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx  You may want the vet to confirm your judgment. Adjust the dogs food and exercise as needed to reach its ideal body condition.

Labs all start with super cute short muzzles and square heads.  As they mature, some develop longer muzzles an more pointed heads.  He will only get worse, not better as far as head shape goes.
